Elias Chipimo

Elias has mentored various industry leaders both on a personal and professional level. He is a visionary entrepreneur who applies holistic business thinking to social and economic challenges facing marginalised and underprivileged communities in rural and urban settings. He founded Zambia's premier and largest legal firm Corpus Legal Practitioners. Elias's current focus is on facilitating capital access and capacity support to promising young entrepreneurs across the full spectrum of African society. He is co-founder and national chairperson of Zambia’s first ever business angels’ network, Zambia Business Angels Network (ZBAN) and is Chairman of the WWF Zambia Advisory Board. He is also a Rhodes Scholar and law graduate from the Universities of Zambia (LLB) and Oxford (BCL).

Dr. George Tembo

George Tembo is a Public Health Physician with 25 years experience working for the United Nations at senior levels in various countries. He was Chief of Regional and Country Support in Geneva overseeing programs in Africa, South America and the Caribbean.

Saasa Shamambo

Saasa W Shamambo is an Engineer by training and an entrepreneur by choice having a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Project Management. He has effectively been in industry for the past twenty-one (21) years with a bias mainly towards information technology, project management and professional services provision for various institutions in Zambia and the sub-region.

She is the founder of TUCUZA Associates Limited running a social agric business in North-Western Province, along with an out-grower scheme.

Mr. Jito Kayumba

Jito Kayumba is a partner at Kukula Capital, Zambia’s pioneering Private Equity and Venture Capital firm. The company’s impact investments have generated over 1,200 jobs and have developed the market for alternative capital in Zambia.

Michael Kroupnik

Michael is the Director of a group family-owned businesses. These are Micmar, a hardware and building materials retailer, KroupWood, a leading manufacturer of hardwood products and KroupMining & Processing, a mini copper processing plant in Solwezi, NW Province.

Dr. Doreen Mulenga

Doreen retired from UNICEF in August 2020 having served as UNICEF Representative in Botswana and Uganda; UNICEF Deputy Regional Director for the Middle East and Northern Africa; having managed in collaboration with the Director and two other Deputy Directors over $3.4 billion annually at the UNICEF supply Division in Copenhagen, Denmark as Deputy Director Programmes. She is part of the UK Lumos trustee board.

Hankie Malawo

An expert in enterprise architecture, data systems and services, and informatics. A reliable SME in Information Technology, results-oriented, and hands-on information systems manager. Poses a proven record of data modeling, mapping, transformation, and migration. Other skills include designing data stores and securing information systems.

Nitesh Patel

Nitesh Patel works as a Group Chief Executive Officer at Astro Holdings, which is a Business Services company with an estimated 268 employees; They are part of the Executive team within the C-Suite Department and their management level is C-Level. Nitesh is currently based in Lusaka, Zambia.

Kas Shirley

Kas Shirley is the Founder of Amano Capital and started his career at the forefront of several SME investments in Zambia ranging from agriculture to I.T. He gained experience as a financial analyst in Zambia where he specifically focused on structuring successful deals in corporate finance and private equity for Zambia's leading investment bank, Pangaea Securities. He furthered his career in the UK, where he worked for a boutique consultancy specialising in business management for some of the FTSE 100s top performing organisations across several sectors. His specialities are in strategic management, corporate finance, financial advisory services and entrepreneurship.

James Blewett

James Blewett is CEO of Prospero, originally a Chartered Management Accountant, with an MA from the University of Aberdeen, James moved from working in industry to corporate finance – managing privatisation and investment transactions in Central and Eastern Europe – before moving into Economic Development. He has worked on private sector development and market systems development programmes in Africa and Asia for more than 20 years, helping to secure investment and facilitate growth for numerous businesses in developing countries. James has advised on transactions with a cumulative value of more than US$1bn and is an active investor himself – participating in a private equity fund that specializes in impact investment in frontier markets.

Chapita Mbuzi

Chapita Mbuzi is a seasoned banker with more than 15 years work experience in transactional banking and global markets sales. He holds a degree in agriculture majoring in economics and is currently pursuing his MBA in Finance. He is currently based in Lusaka, Zambia.

Previously employed as Audit Manager by PricewaterhouseCoopers, Michael has also worked for Marconi Corporation Plc and as Financial Controller-International Operations for National Grid Plc. During his time as Managing Director Corporate Development at CEC Plc, Michael was responsible for implementing CEC Plc’s growth strategy as well as identifying potential growth areas in the energy sector in Zambia and abroad.
