The Zambia Business Angel Network (ZBAN) held its first pitch session for the year 2022. It was an exciting event, hosted on the 4th of March by one of the Angels Mr. Greg Marchand at his Avencion offices in Woodlands, Lusaka. The purpose of the event was to create engagement between the pitching entrepreneurs and Angels investors.The Startups who pitched were:
1) Insaka: two young ladies full of life who have developed a social media app built around real life with all the networking technology in one place.
2) Digital Prophets: a group of innovative young men who have developed and designed people-centered information systems.
3) Universal Talk Time: technological gurus who will be offering low-cost Wi-Fi called “ZAM Wi-Fi” to markets across Zambia.
4) Clean Power: a company owned by indigenous Zambians who offer bespoke solar-powered water pumping and electricity generating systems for domestic and small scale farm use.
After these exciting pitches, we are glad to say that action was taken and one Angel has made the move to invest in one of the Start-ups, keep reading our updates to read more.
